Lauren Trail

Lauren is a multidisciplinary creative working across illustration, animation, film, and design. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan’s Penny Stamps School of Art & Design with a BFA in Art & Design and two minors in Environmental Science and Writing. She was also awarded the highly selective Gorman Award for excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and creative work for the class of 2022.
Lauren’s practice centers on visual storytelling at the intersection of people and the environment, using research-driven narratives to educate, inspire, and connect. Professionally, she has collaborated with companies including Netflix, A+E Studios, and Bath & Body Works—creating social content and motion graphics, as well as assisting with set decoration on major television productions such as Ryan Murphy’s Monsters series and The Lincoln Lawyer.
Alongside client work, Lauren enjoys bringing personalities to life through illustrated greeting cards, portraits, and passion projects, including her children’s book A is for Auntie. Driven by curiosity and collaboration, she approaches every project with care and intention, aiming to create thoughtful visual experiences that spark conversation and spread joy.
When she’s not creating, Lauren can usually be found swimming laps, traveling, reading, or spending as much time outdoors as possible.
