The Process

Author provides text that will be on page and her ideas on what the illustration would look like. Includes reference images for inspriation!
Initial iteration sketches based on information provided by the author - two layout options.

Author selects her favorite sketch and I work on making a more finalized image with clean lines, detailed faces, and beginning to color.

Based on feedback, a second face option is presented for the nephew. Different color options are added, and extra toys are drawn into the scene.

Final drawing is complete!
